Blizz have rolled the 1.7 patch out (or are possibly still doing do depending on timezone :P) in the North American maintenance this morning and will be launching it on the European servers tommorow.

WoW.com is still in "low-bandwidth" mode. The European site appears to be functioning normally however.

At least the realms are now back online after some serious downtime although the European servers are far from stasble. No word from Blizzard yet.

WoW.com is back to it's proper site and has been running some updates too. The realm types page is now more indepth and the under development page has been updated too.

Jotstiq have some new information on the WoW board game including photos of some of the figures, check it out here.

If you haven't heard, there is a plague spreading through WoW. Even The Register are reporting on it.

Basically it is an infection from fighting Hakkar in Zul'Gurub and spreads from player to player killing all but the high levelers.

What an awesome idea. That said it could be a bug. The media seems to be reporting it as one. But what are the odds it would do that? Only time will tell. And by time I of course mean Blizzard ;).

In some of the most awesome news ever, Blizzard have confirmed The Offspring will be playing at the final night concert for BlizzCon! They absolutely rock people!

The test realms are live and ready at least for players in North America to test out the upcoming 1.8 patch.

The new patch includes no less than four new raids (outdoor and everything) and loads of changes you can find in the patch notes.

Blizz have now implimented a small server-side patch to fix instance abuse. Basically you can only enter five instances per hour (PvP's don't count), and if you try to enter a 6th within the hour you will be blocked.

It's a running total so if you want to enter a sixth you just have to wait an hour between the first one you entered, ie, the limit is based on the last 60 minutes.

Blizz have confirmed that the WoW expansion will be playable at BlizzCon. I still hate the expansion but I would be interested to see what they have planned.

Blizz have tightened up on gold sellers, they are now removing items which have been bought from any of the gold farmers and characters used to launder it.

WoW Radio will be offering live video fees from BlizzCon so those of us who can't make it will still get a glimpse of what is going on. They have a seperate page about it which you can find here.

First of all, comedian Christian Finnegan will be performing on the final day of BlizzCon.

Secondly, WoW-Europe is once again recruiting to the point of making a big news post about it. They want to expand their English and German GM teams.

Finally, WoW-Europe are also doing some character migrations onto Twisting Nether, Genjuros and Balnazzar. They are open now and will end on Friday.
