Sunday, January 1 2006

Spent New Years Eve in Stormwind last night. A little disappointed, what happened to the fireworks and the chat was full of spam but still, it was something to do.
Monday, January 2 2006

I need another 18 gold to get my horse. I need your gold people! Send it to xmeltrut on Turalyon and help me get my horse as soon as possible!
Tuesday, January 3 2006

I don't know if it's Europe wide or just Turalyon or what but there are some major problems. I'm stuck on the "retrieving character list" at the moment.

I had been getting major lag when making recipies and selling stuff I'd made earlier and then vendors just died. I don't know what's going on exactly but I know it's not just me.

Ok, I'm still getting a few problems but I got back in the game so thinkgs are a little cooler now.
Wednesday, January 4 2006

This morning Europe got the new 1.9 patch which features the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj which has two raid dungeons in, linked auction houses and a load of other new features.

Saturday, January 7 2006

Have you been doing your part of the Ahn'Qiraj war effort (ie collecting leather, bars and other crap and expected to give them up for free :p).

Well anyway, WoW.com now have rankings for the North American servers here and m3arts.com have rankings which include the European servers too which you can find here.
Sunday, January 8 2006

TG Daily have published an article about players who don't speak English well getting booted out of groups.

Which is probably fair enough as if you're doing a dungeon or whatever you need good communication or you're just going to get wiped.

But then providing everyone can understand what is going on, quizzing people on pop culture is just being an asshole.

Anyway, you can check the article out here.

To solve some performance issues Blizzard have lowered the population cap on certain European servers (including my precious Turalyon).

A full list of the affected servers is available when you log in to the game. The list is also available on the official forums here.
Monday, January 9 2006

Blizz have released three new screenshots of the Buring Crusade expansion pack.

Check them out here, here and here.

Also I notice that on the official website it is now saying the level cap will be increased to 70 and not 80 as previously stated. Of course this could be a mistake on the site but I doubt it.

It was actually last Friday, that CassieNet's Guide to WoW became one year old!

Yes, it's already been one year since we started reporting on the latest WoW news. Head to the archives to relive those old memories ;).

I've actually linked the first story I posted in related stories.
