Blizz have brought out a 1.9.1 patch soon after the 1.9 patch came out which went live in North America today.

It will be added to European servers tomorrow which means extended maintenance going from 3am till 11am.

Finally, the new instance reset schedule Blizz put in place has failed miserably but Blizz say they are working on the problem.

Blizz are moving rthas, Azshara, Blackmoore, Blackrock, Gilneas, Kargath, Khaz'goroth, and Lothar to a new data centre and have also taken loads offline to "protect them."

The good news is though that it means free game time. Full list of affected servers can be found on the official forums here.

Blizz is planning a 1.9.2 patch which will add support for Intel Macs. "It has been in internal testing for quite some time and we are getting ready to ship it," Blizz commented.

The European servers are back to normal and all online again as of yesterday and it should reduce some of the performance issues too.

No more standing around for minutes waiting for a vendor transaction that should be instant I hope :p.

I'm sure they had like 1.5 million 9 months ago but anyway, they have put out a press release saying they have now reached one million customers in Europe.

Blizz has announced some Lunar New Year festivities beginning on January 27th and will continue through until February 14th. Including...

Celebrations in Stormwind, Thunder Bluff, Booty Bay and Moonglade on February 29th.

February 13th, big fireworks display in Moonglade.

Blizz have taken another 5,000 acounts offline for cheating, gold farming, etc on the European servers.

Medivh has become the first realm to open the Scarab Gate. An orc warrior named Skalagrim ventured in and took many a screenshot which Blizz prompt stole ;).

Europe will soon have some new realms: Scarshield Legion (RP PvP) and Xavius (PvP).

The New York Times have a new interview with Jeff Kaplan, the lead game designer on WoW. You can read it here.

A bunch of high level horde players have started a charity named "Gamers Against No Kash" which is designed to pay the subscription fees of younger players who can't pay for it by themselves.

In return the players have to join their guild and basically get used as cannon fodder. What a system :p.
