Security concerns
Some concerns have been raised over the security of WoW updates due to the client going through your firewall. It's pretty safe though as it's only open for a short time. |
AoE details
Still isn't confirmed but some sources are suggesting the AoE MMORPG is being developed so that Microsoft can use it on the XBox 360. |

Competition
According to the New York Times, Microsoft have joined Marvel for an online game deal, check that out here.
Also Sony's Exchange Station officially opens in four days presuming the press release is up to date. It's the first site to allow you to trade items for cash and may open the way for other MMORPGs to do so. |

Competition update
The latest MMORPG that plans to try and challenge WoW from Marvel and Microsoft won't be launched till 2008 at the earlier. Not that it could challenge WoW anyway ;). |

Duping bug
Yesterday a bug was discovered that allowed you to duplicate items! It's now been fixed I think but you can read about it here and there is a screenshot of the result here. |

New customer figures
Blizzard have proudly announced that they have 1.5 million players in Chain alone taking them to a grand total of over 3.5 million. |
Duping update
Basically here is what is going on - Blizzard can't find it, and considering they created and run the game it could well not exist at all as so far they have (or at least have said) they have found no evidence it exists. |

More BitTorrent downloading
Blizzard has apparently struck a new deal with BitTorrent for using it as a distribution method. Whether this will just be for the patches or extended to the entire game though I'm not sure. |

New patch
Yesterday Blizzard released the 1.6.1 patch tweaking a few things - spell casting is no longer interupted when leaving combat, changes to the Blackwing Lair and Maraudon and a few other changes. |

Trojan on WoW
Heise Online has confirmed a Trojan is going round stealing WoW passwords. Not a huge worry though unless you open executables in email attachments or from suspicious websites in which case you're an idiot anyway :P. |
