Hi all, Chris here pleased to tell you about the launch of CassieNet's guide to World of Warcraft. Myself and JD have been so excited about this game and it finally comes out in the UK this month.

So when we strumbled on the fansite kit, there was only really one thing we could do - and here is the result! We hope you all find it useful.

26 days until World of Warcraft comes out in Europe! I really need to stop spending on DVDs and start saving. It is like 2 days and 4 weeks away now, huzzah!

Wish, also known as Mutable Realms which was another MMORPG has been cancelled with the second beta closing later today.

I guess they just couldn't meet the standards of World of Warcraft ;).

We did realise that there was a discrepancy in the countdown days we had published and decided to glaze past it but now I am going to clear it up.

21 days to go and counting. It is just so awesome though I mean 24 / 7 games masters to talk to. You will be able to go on (for for you US'ers can go on) and get help at like 5 am, how cool is that!

That is kick ass - 200,000 simultaneous players were achieved over the holiday period which is awesome. Check out the press release here.

Due to the fact that WoW rocks, there are so many players on the European beta version that support is getting overloaded. But more is planned (from what we gather) according to an annoucement posted here.

WoW has launched on Korea with a dedicated support team and localised version, etc. Blizzard have a press release about it, check it out here.

Due to hardware changes and downtime for players, Blizzard have extended free gaming for 48 hours which is pretty cool. Check the official website for more details.

I was on the Game Station website and they said that WoW was coming out tommorow! Myself and JD are heading down to the store tommorow to find out what is going on.

Play.com are still saying the date everyone else seemed to have which is February 4th which is what we have been counting down to. Amazon in a wierd move are saying February 25th.

So nobody really knows what is going on. But based on our previous figures, 15 days to go!

Myself and JD headed down to our local Game Station to find out what was going on with the European release. I beleive my exact words here:

"So according to your website World of Warcraft comes out today. When does it really come out?"

The short answer to the question is that they don't know. They said they might be getting it in next Friday which is a week before Play.com ship it. So if they don't have it by next Friday it might be online pre-ordering time.

Amazon are still saying February 25th though how how anyone can wait that long I don't know. Still, the countdown remains for the release according to Play and several other online retailers.

Blair Space has launched a sub-site called Blair Space Tower which has guides and news plus generic stuff like polls, etc. Check it out here.

Hmm, I read through some of the GameSpot reviews which were negative which put me off a bit. Anyway I was on the forums and everyone is complaining about downtime and how short the game is as everyone is at level 60.

Ok, so I had a few second thoughts. This game has gone from the best game ever to a bit of a worry. Still I am resolute to getting it, and it better be awesome!

Maze Forums have launched a new message board dedicated to WoW. Help kick start the discussions here.

I was participating in some of the forum discussions today there are many crazy dates for when WoW Europe will launch. We are still sticking with the Play.com date and hoping for the best.

Well we still don't know when WoW will be out in Europe. Amazon.de and some other sites are now saying the 11th as is Game Station.

Play and Amazon.co.uk are staying with their current dates. Although it may be pushed back, Blizzard - give us a date!

Time is drawing ever closer. If only it was coming out on the 4th, we would all have an entire week to play it (well we refering to myself, JD and the rest of us at CassieNet, I can't speak for you guys). Most places are saying the 11th though.
